• The New Suburbia

This postcard comes from deep within my project archives, but it’s something the clients and I were pleased with, so I wanted to include it here. It promoted an event hosted by The Salvation Army and The Christian Community Development Association (www.ccda.org), meant to shed light on poverty at home. Debunking the myth that poverty doesn’t exist within the picket fences of  Wisteria Lane.

  • Duncan and Courtney are getting married!

Here’s a sampling of Duncan and Courtney’s engagement session. We borrowed a Mustang convertible and hit the mean streets of Headingley Manitoba for some PDA. Rounded out the afternoon by taking some shots outside the CanWest Global ballpark.

  • Booth Billboard – Step 2

[Read step 1] Once a photo of Michelle had been approved by the client, the next step in the billboard design process was to chose colours from the Booth College pallet and complete the layout. In regards to her photo, we ran some minor retouching and applied a high-contrast treatment that has been used for Booth’s promotional materials for the past year and a half. The model is normally pulled from their environment or background and then repositioned. Obvious enhancements include an outer glow and exaggerated drop shadow. These 2 effects aren’t typically used together, but it’s become a part of the Booth College visual signature. Further examples will be posted to this site soon. Wait! There's more » » »
